– Fawn should have as much of mother's colostrum (first milk) as possible on the first day of life. Initial colostrum feeding should occur as soon as possible after birth. Use cow's colostrum if dam's colostrum is not available.

– Clean all feeding utensils and equipment after each feeding. Rinse first in lukewarm water, then wash with detergent in hot 160 degree F water. Rinse thoroughly with clean hot water. Invert to dry and store feeding bottles.

– One 20-lb. pail feeds one fawn from birth to weaning at 12 weeks based on 8-9 lb. fawn. Amounts fed can be slightly increased for larger fawns or decreased for smaller fawns as necessary.

We highly recommend that you use ADM Fawn Starter Pellets when fawns are 1 week of age.
